About Kubra
What's it like to work with me?
I am committed to creating a space that feels safe, affirming, supportive, and collaborative. While therapy is not about having all the answers, together, we can explore your experiences, understand what matters most to you, and work towards a richer and more fulfilling life.
I want therapy to feel natural and conversational. I like to make jokes (whether or not they're actually funny), use everyday language, and take a laid-back approach. I encourage curiosity and openness. Sometimes, we might draw things out, map ideas, or use simple visuals to help make sense of things together.
I draw from a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based approaches.
I welcome people of all backgrounds, cultures, genders, sexualities, and abilities.
Experience and Qualifications
My professional experience has been shaped by working in private practice and across a range of public mental health settings, including inpatient, residential and community mental health services.
I hold a Master of Clinical Psychology (La Trobe University) and a First-Class Honours degree in Psychology (La Trobe University).
